Anyone changed their air filter toma performance version on their VRS?

Featured Replies

Has anyone changed their air filter to a performance filter? If so is it any better, what manufacturer should you use and how much does it cost! Thanks.

Run a pipercross panel filter (for sale). To be honest it's not going to make much of a difference. A bit more induction noise and a bit more air being sucked in. Best searching on here for more information.

Most panel filters are between £38-70 depending on make.

Pipercross, k&n, green cotton I've run all in different cars, all have been good quality.

K&n here - maybe an improvement in throttle response and possibly economy but not by much

Unless you are going to use a lot of high revs and a custom tune, then I would not expect too much from changing the standard filter. They are not that bad when clean

i have trimmed the inside of the stock air intake to open it up. seems to improve pickup a little. lots of aftermarket air intake options via the golfmk7.com forums

Vwr r600 induction kit is the dogs *******s. Plus it looks oem too as its made from the same plastic
