Can of gunk

Featured Replies

Has anyone successfully used the puncture breakdown kit to temporary get home or type depot? I assumed that you shake the bottle of gunk and attach it to the valve where it empties the contents into the tyre and hopefully blocks the hole.

In the driver's manual it states that the valve core has to be removed before connecting the gunk bottle. Then replace the valve core with the original (even though a replacement is supplied in the kit) before inflating the tyre with the pump to complete the process.

Has anyone sealed their tyre and inflated their tyre without removing and replacing the valve core?

Regards

you wont get the fluid in to the Tyre  with the core in place, as for it working only any good if its a small nail or screw it wont fix a side wall split and most tyre suppliers wont repair a tyre if its had sealer in it.
