Boot opening

Featured Replies

I have electric boot opening on a Superb Mk3 Estate. Can the boot be opened manually from inside the car? I cannot find a lever or button. On Audi's they are on the right hand side near the engine release lever.

Yes the button is the bottom left by the gearstick.

And it will beep nicely as it opens - just to warn those walking close behind :-)

Can anyone confirm whether the non-electric estate boot can be opened from inside the boot compartment?

i know it's probably a safety feature but I've asked the dealer to reduce or turn off the beeping completely. Can't remember if it's been discussed here before but I assume it can be coded out by VCDS if I've no luck with the dealer? I seem to remember it was possible on the mKII estate.

Yes it’s possible to turn off the beeps with VCDS.

Cheers guys.  I'll have a look when I collect the car in the next couple of days.

If you have not already then take a look at this thread:

Superb MKIII VCDS Adaptations - tried and tested

Cheers Gizmo. Collecting it in the morning so I'll check then. I also asked them to enable DRLs in the rear as I wanted it done without having to resort to VCDS. Initially they said it wasn't possible but I pushed them and they have them enabled now. I know some dealers simply state that this cannot be done.
