Activating alarm chirps locking/unlocking

I noticed on a MY17 L&K that there is no option to turn the alarm chirps (Acoustic confirmation) in the infotainment.

Controller 09 - Central Electronics

16 - Security Access - enter 31347

10 - Adaptations

Go to:

IDE02269-ENG122188-Acknowledgement signals-Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung

Change to active

You will now have the Acoustic Confirmation option in the infotainment screen.

Then:

07 - Coding

Select "1--3V1 995119-48x LL 70726" in drop down menu

Click on "Long coding helper"

image.png

Byte 0

Tick Bit 3 "Adaptative Post/Tear Wiping Active"

image.png

Byte 2 / Tick Bit 5 "Post/Tear Wiping Active"

Enable Tear wiping for rear window wiper:

Controller 09 - Cent. Elect.

16 - Security Access - enter  31347

Adaptation 10 :

Select Channel 8B - "Rear Window Wiper - Traenenwischen Heck"

Set new value to "Active"

Click “Do It!"

It is worth noting that the 'tear drop wipe' can smear an otherwise clean screen, this happens when the screen is clean and dry, resulting in a smeared screen again... so only you can work out if this is a beneficial mod to do, I have enabled this as many times as I have disabled it for different owners!

Most adaptations do not have a right or wrong outcome, it is down to personal preference.
