Front Anti-roll Bar

Featured Replies

Just had my front anti-roll bar replaced at 54k miles. The old one was banging around - all its bushes had failed. There was no way of just replacing bushes as whole assembly is involved as bushes moulded onto the anti-rollbar itself. Labour cost was 1.5 hours for two fitters!

Do new bushes need greasing or silicone spraying, etc, please?

the bushes are maintinence free..

Skoda brought out a revised anti roll bar bush because of problems like this.

how old was the car?

Its not the bushes that cause the issue. There are two collars on the bar that stop it moving sideways. These break off and the bar moves.
