You can buy the solid s3 bushes on there own around £20 on ebay or darkside developments and press them into the octavia casing as the tt/s3 bush and casing have a slightly different bolt hole.

Was under the impression that the carriers for s3 were the same, it was just the bush that was different.

Powerflex website would suggest that would be the case too as the anti-lift kits use the same part numbers for both s3 and Octavia VRS mk2

I've got a set of s3 carriers ready to press powerflex into, haven't got an Octavia one (other than currently on the car) to check against though.

Would be beneficial to see the differences before I press bushes into it if they are different.

Okay, bush difference is the stiffness, softest the rubber  one with the most holes, hardest will be a PUR  powerflex bush...

But the alu carriers have differences , which will change the handling of the car....

The center of the bush is outside the mounting center

The Octavia is not a rallye monster, she is our brave family working horse with a soft spongy suspension in original. When it was time I renewed the dampers and springs with HD ones and the suspension is much better now.....think with a stiffer bush I can make the spongy steering a bit more direct.

So which of the pictured carriers are off which car??

The second and third look to be the same but flipped over?

I am going to get another set of the TT comsoles and fit them to my current Octy. They made a massive difference on my old car, as I said in the link and a good cheap effective mod to do on the car.

Got a full set of Powerpro bushes in my front wishbones and it certainly tightened up the front end of the car. Far less vague over uneven roads, even in a straight line. My old original rubber bushes were not in bad condition when they were taken out, so the poly bushes do make a difference over rubber ones. Hopefully with the poly bushes, they will last the life of the car.

The powerflex anti lift kit is multi fit as one of the chassis bolt holes is slotted to allow fitment to different vag cars,

the tt casings won't fit the vrs chassis.

Getting close to ordering parts now I've decided what lowering action I want.

To confirm: TT carriers need drilling/slotting to make them fit.

But do the S3 carriers need anything to make them fit?

Thanks
