Does anyone know if the DVD / CD in the glove box on the Superb plays video files ?? or even plays DVD disks.

It does certainly play dvds but not on the go for obvious safety reasons.

Picture when stationery but switches off when you move off and only plays the sound.

To play a DVD do you need to have specked the TV tuner as an option or will the columbus play a DVD?

Columbus plays DVD. TV Tuner is not a prerequisite requirement.

Wow thanks Guy`s, was a little confused as all the literature kept referring to it as a DVD drive but yeah i can understand it no playing on the move but the ability to be able to watch Starwars on my lunch is a winner for me ( lunch on the go in my job ).
