I've read (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/383678-boot-divider/?hl=%2Bdog+%2Bguard+%2Bdrill#entry4488113) that some OEM ones require drilling into headliner, which I'm totally against, and wont be asking the dealer to do...

 

I've also seen that the Travall one, which seems to be preferred doesn't need drilling (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/416622-boot-liner-and-dog-guard/)

 

Can anyone comment on suitability for an SE L with variable boot floor? You can pick up dog guards for around £30 which look like some scaffolding poles with mesh wire on them, not sure on the durability or safety of them to be honest!!

 

I'd also like to put in a boot liner if possible... does the variable boot floor reduce my options?

 

Also, can anyone comment as to how they secure their pooch in the boot? I should have looked closer when on the test drive but don't recall anything obvious to hook a seatbelt or strap onto...

 

I'm expecting a call from the dealer next week to confirm a delivery date for the car so will raise it then, should I want them to order it.

There are a reasonable number of load fixing points around the trunk area of the estate that should suit the purpose. I got a boot liner from Amazon that works very well - although I have not used it with the variable floor lowered yet.
