air moving fan in my car squeaks during operation

Featured Replies

Hi All,

The air moving fan in my car squeaks during operation, especially in cornering, braking or acceleration. (The fan axes staying in vertical position) How can I oiling it, or put some grease? How can I access to it with a minimum work?

I would not want to disassembly the whole front of the car.

A new ventilator is about 200GBP.

Thank you in advance.

You mean one of the radiator fans?

I suspect that the offending fan is striking its shroud when it's vibrating due to suspension movement. If so, you may see a burring on the shroud and/or one or more of the fan blades.

Hi

I'm not mean the radiator fan, I mean the fan which moving the air into cabin.

I don't know where is it located, anywhere in the front right side in the car.

The squeak noise came from that direction.

What @TheRobinK says makes sense. I was mislead by your choice of words. All fans move air so you need to discuss function in terms of why they move it, and when you said "the whole front of the car" that makes me think of the front bumper lights, grille etc, not the dashboard/fascia.

Mine does it when I dip the clutch!
