Skoda superb mk2 daytime runing light

Featured Replies

Hello,

i have problem yesterday, go to the shop locked a  car and went to the shop, when coming back I realise driver side daytime runing light is still on only driver side. Try to do everything to make it off but is always still on it doesn't matter what I do. Anyone have idea what happened?! Thanks

This is usually a result of using the parking lights on one side only, when you turn the ignition off but use the indicator stalk to either indicate right or left turn and leave the stalk in that position, when you lock the car it leaves the lights on but only on that side of the car only, both front and rear light.

Are you sure it wasn't this?.

Yesterday I was took bulb out , today I put it back and still on, I can do everything. I switch off daylight on computer and that one still working. Have to keep bulb out.

Parking lights use the W5W bulb inside the headlight not the DRL down next to the fog lights.

Sounds like a problem with the CECM / BCM.

There have been issues in the past when fitting an aftermarket HID headlight kit, it fries the CECM which results in only one of the front indicators remaining on regardless of the ignition. The only way to turn it off was to take the bulb out or disconnect the battery.

Try scanning the car with VCDS and see if any fault codes are recorded.
