AmD One Click - WOW !

Featured Replies

After mulling over the decision wether or not to go for the One Click and after weeks of research, I can now officially tell you that it is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!

There are a couple of things I did not expect. The engine is so much smoother and there is less clatter on start up and idle when warm. The performance is, well, stunning. This is a generic map after all, it is SMOOTH, no jolts, no sudden surges, just smooth all the way through the rev range. My car has only covered 1550 miles things can only improve ! :D The staff at AmD were excellent.

Sell your Grannie, you MUST have one of these. Simply Amazed. The guys who got them on the last GB, well done, cos there worth EVERY PENNY of the retail price. P.S - To all the guys who p.m'd me regarding it, (you know who you are) BIG THANKYOU ! This forum really works. :)

Good isn't it :D

Yup, very impressed with mine, and still not bored of it :D

How do you rate the sound of the turbo now?

Glad you took all the comments on board ;)

There isn't a better "package" of a remap out there to meet my requirements - and at the GB price of

Sounds completely different (whistles) :) . The acceleration in 6th from 70mph is simply amazing ! What I have noticed is that from standstill, unless you're really careful, there can be lots of torque steer if you give it some gun. The mpg has dropped though. I averaged about 62mpg (steady 70 ish on Motorway) to 55mpg now. Not that noticable though, but the car is so,so different. It really 'likes' this new map, if you know what I mean. I have just done 150miles to Liverpool and the car is great. Can't wait to get the suspension sorted now.

If anyone has some decent suggestions, let me know.

Jon.

Anyone had any issues with clutch slip ? Not that I have but have been made aware of this. Cheers, Jon.

Nothing at all (yet!) But that's probably 'cause I either drive:

1) steady (for economy) ie. change up at low revs and apply the throttle gently, or

2) loopy (for fun) ie. change at 3500rpm + and floor it (more like a petrol)

I probably get 10-15 mpg less with option 2.

John,

Have you upgraded your suspension ?

I have, Jon. Eibach springs with Koni dampers (set @ max rebound). The lower centre of gravity makes the standard brakes much more effective ie stops 'nosedive'. The 'progressive rate' of the Eibachs kick in, the harder you take a corner, whilst the Konis soak up the bumpy 'B' roads without transmitting all the force thru the chassis, causing the back end to 'blip'. Rigid suspension setups are IMHO better suited to smooth roads and the Track.
