Found this while trawling rhe archives 

 

I did plan once upon a time to write a full guide on how to do the timing chain on the 1.4 MPI 8V engine, it completely transformed the first one I did (2nd time around it had already been replaced at somepoint but the chain was noisey so did it anyway).

 

Im looking at perhaps getting back into a Fabia, if I do, and its a 1.4 8V Ill do it and write a guide :)
