Octavia Safego LED Headlights

Featured Replies

Hi guys, has anybody fitted safego led headlights to a Octavia vrs 2011

I will agree with Mike..

LED lighting and conversion kits for headlights is not trusted.

Only a good and well-known HID kit will probably be the best , and it will definitely have to be CANBUS technology.

I've had LED bulbs in the high beam of my Pre-FL vRS for almost a year now and wouldn't go back to halogens

The beam is, subjectively, slightly more spot than the flood of halogens but that could well be the fact that they're much, MUCH, brighter

Yes, they throw a warning lamp, but even that is worth it when you compare to the better illumination

Don't buy cheap LEDs, they are cheap for a reason - expect to pay ~£50+ for a decent set of H1 bulbs, I've listed mine in another recent post where someone was talking about doing the same

I don't think LED would suit low beam optics, but mine had OEM HIDs so I've never had to think about it...

I notice that you are based in Croatia. One point that can't be ignored is that a bulb out warning light is an MOT (yearly inspection) failure in the UK.

I only moved last year, and I still have a car in the UK, so I do remember what an MOT is :D

Takes less than 10 min to swap back to halogens for MOT day :)

Only warning lamps for ABS TCS TPMS SRS and airbags should fail an MOT. Any other MIL remain as advisory for now. As long as the lamps are working a bulb out light is not a fail.
