Thanks!

Yep there the standard alloys for the SE L. The SE gets silver matterhorns and matterhorn are available as an option for the SE L in black and silver diamond cut.

I would never have diamond cuts again in the UK with all the salt we use in winter so glad it comes with the origamis to be honest!

Popped in to sign paperwork today in advance of Saturdays collection. Yeti not lurking in the yard - must be with the Techies being PDI'd. I think it was just being cheeky and playing hide and seek because look what the dashcam caught on a test drive!

Colour looks better now the transport tape is off even though it was raining! Like the DRLs and the xenons as well! Shame I couldn't see the rear LEDs.

Feels like it might be a slow week!

Always nice to see a Yeti with a good home to go to.

Looks good - is that silver or one of the "greys"? Mine is being made w/c 20th Feb and Skoda(UK) are confident the dealer will get it in time for a March registration - before new VED rates come into effect. Incidentally did you notice if there was any protective film or bars on the top of the rear bumper? The image on the Configurator suggests there are silver protective 'rails', but somehow I doubt it.

Hi! Collected today and sorry no bumper protection. I think I am going to order one of the Rearguard ones.

Thanks - I have ordered the Skoda bumper protector film to apply when I get my new Yeti at end of March.

Hi

I am only on day 3 of Yeti ownership and just read about the bumper film protection.  Please can someone explain what it is.

Thanks

Have a look at this thread. Basically a screen protector for your bumper!

I bought and fitted a black Rearguard to my Jungle Green and it matches the rest of the car very well.  Pleased with the look and protection.

Thanks for the info on the bumper protection. I will do some product research.

It all depends on whether you want a visible protector or an invisible one! The Skoda film is transparent and once applied is virtually invisible so doesn't change the aesthetics of the rear of the car.  Personally I think that looks better than having either a black or chrome'ish bumper cover but it is all a matter of personal appearance. The Skoda part is approx £45 (plus fitting) but they are not too difficult to put on yourself if you remember to use copious amounts of water with few drops of detergent in it as a lubricant. Youtube has several instruction videos for applying the film - look under 3M film.

Understand about the film keeping the look of the car. However , the Rearguards one will certainly take a lot of physical punishment and give very good protection.

On our dark blue yeti the reargaurd protector just echos the bumper below. IMO it looks pretty OEM, and certainly a lot less 'blingy' than the Skoda silver metal effect one. The fit and finish of the rearguard one is really good and it covers the lip of the bumper which the Skoda 'metal' one doesnt.

The Skoda clear film protector does keep the original look and protect the lip, but when our dealer wouldnt fit one to our new car as it was, apparently, impossible for them to do neatly and without bubbles, I was rather put off.

Sounds like your dealer didn't have a body shop or any experience of fitting protective films. There are already two on the Yeti by the rear doors and they are a much more complex fit, any competent body shop can do those. As I said before the secret is to use copious amounts of water as lubricant.
