I've done the gearstick surround. Think it might be the angle of the photo, but it is done:thumbup:

I only painted it because 'it' and the ashtray were different shades of gray, and didn't look nice!:(

I wanted to buy a dash kit for my Fabia' date=' but thorght them to deer for what thay are:thumbdwn:

So i striped my vents and ashtray down, keyed them with wet'n'dry, and spayed then with Plasticote silver paint with a satin lacker.

IMHO it looks better than the shiny bubble type plastics some companys use as a 'kit'.:P
