Bolero mib1 to amundsen mib2 Help!

Featured Replies

hey I swapp out my old radio MIB 1 to MIB2 then got Component protection active and I have to unlock, and now when I thought of the phone button. '' Phone is not available '' show on display and Bluetooth could not turn on. can anybody here help me fix? or which code you must enter the VCDs? thanks

Do a search on here from what i have read you cannot swap them because of component protection and only a dealer can turn component protection off. I could be wrong so do a search.

Essentially I made a poor choice and didn't wait a few weeks to get my MY15.5 Octavia which has a bigger screen AND I assume has Android/Apple car play compatibility. I'm still unclear about the Bolero MIB2 of MY15.5 cars being car play enabled.

I have found a Bolero MIB2 (3) with the all "glass" display and car play compatible which is in the Facelift Octavia for sale on eBay for an affordable price. I've asked the seller where he got it from, given it's sourced from Russia, as I assume it's a bit dodgy. I've also asked if the Component protection is enabled - apparently it is, and which software is on it - apparently it has none, and only a Skoda dealer can install this.

I really would love to replace my Bolero MIB1 for a recent car play compatible unit and know all too well that Skoda are extremely unhelpful (in Australia) when it comes to this sort of stuff. I know there is a thread where updated firmware is shared and wonder if, should I risk all this, the most recent Bolero MIB2 software would install and make this usable IF...and a big IF, I get the component protection stuff sorted out.

Anyone have a clue about this sort of thing?

Hi... Did you fix it? I have the same problem. Thank you!

You need to activate the FeC codes in ODIS.

Thank you for your answer! Can you tell me if can be done offline or must be done with ODIS connected at Skoda Server.?

Thank you for your support,

Marius,
