O3 1.4 TSI DSG Elegance

Featured Replies

Having gone off the idea of a diesel because of the DPF issues likely to be caused my the sort of driving we do, I'm thinking of a 1.4 TSI in Elegance trim. What do you guys think of this:

Any thoughts? Looks like it has heated seats. Does the radar automatically suggest ACC? Any other extras your expert eyes can spot from the photos?

Thanks

yes you can see the additional stalk for ACC below the indicator stalk

Has Lex autolease floor mats, so was one of their cars.

Has the canton subwoofer in the boot on the left also.

That's the stereo upgrade with 10 speaker s.

Black not my taste though, shows every chip and mark and never stays clean.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed the speakers, that's a bonus! Black wouldn't be my first choice but a 1.4 TSI DSG Elegance seems to be a rare thing!

I'm planning on test driving it tomorrow morning. I've seen mention on here of a sticker in the boot that has codes on it for the various options. Where exactly in the boot would I find that?

Under the carpet, stuck to the metal floor, lhs of the spare wheel well usually, towards the back seats.

The stickers aren't always there, should be in the service book also...if it has one.

Most Octavia's have a digital service record kept by skoda, so no service book in the car, although they might have a printout.

If you take a note of the reg no, and VIN number (starts with TMBBB) you can download the Skoda service app and look up the service history.

Servicing is every year or 12k miles, unless its on the variable regime (which it might be being an ex lease car), which is about every 19k miles.

Thanks. Ok, found the VIN online and found the service history on the Skoda app. It was serviced at 19,247 and 38,542 miles, so roughly every 19k miles. Does that count as a full service history?

Whether that's a full history depends on what was done.

On the variable (long life) regime the oil interval is 2yrs and/or 18.7k miles max (actually 30k km). Rather confusingly the 'inspection' interval, which covers everything else is specified as 2yr/18.7k miles for the first one, then 1yr/18.7k miles after that. Since the car is less than 4 yrs old this all sounds fine, next service should be 12 months from the last one, although for my money I hate they way they work this.

It should have had the plugs done at the second service, but probably not the air filter, which will be due next. If it's 3 years old it should have had the brake fluid changed as well.

How do I download the Skoda service app please?

It's the MyŠKODA app on the App Store if you're using an iPhone.

Also on Google Play store if you use Android.

Does anyone know what 'sports version' refers to? Is it the suspension? Also, no mention of ACC, which it clearly has.

Thanks guys for the info about the app, but I don't have a smartphone.  Is there something similar for a PC?

I have 2014 1.4 DSG SE. My PR codes codes very similar to yours. the last code no mine is 2UA  is standard design.  My thinking the different to me is trim level? ie cloth against leather look seat covers, door cards etc. ?? Does yours have cruise control? May be.

THE car is sold
