PD 160 'How To'

Featured Replies

Has anyone any idea where the PD160 air intake 'how to' thread has gone, perhaps i'm a little slow but i cant seem to find it!!!

It's pretty much a matter of unclipping the existing pipe bit, then unclip the intake part (plastic bit near the radiator).

Once that's done, put the new one back together. IIRC it's got a screw near the airbox end, and it just kinda slides on/off the intake bit.

Had a look through the guides and it seems the one you are referring to is no longer there? Not sure where it's hiding :(

Part numbers though are:

SEAT Cupra PD160 Air Intake (Available From SEAT Dealers)

6LL 129 621 Trumpet

6LL 129 618 Pipe

Hope that helps :)

Oh, I said that but it seems to have stoppped working . . . that's odd.

It's really very easy to swap out, I did it in the dark with a torch hanging out my mouth while dribbling everywhere as a result... And I'm rubbish with that sort of thing normally. Just unscrew one screw, unclip all the clips (screw driver might make this easier) then shove it all back together with the new stuff. Easy. 15 min job max.

I'm glad im not the only one who couldn't find it, i had it bookmarked too but its gone!

It's definitely a pretty easy mod - the only thing I had trouble with was to get the plastic clips out to free the front part off - nothing a screwdriver and a bit of trying didnt sort though
