and works fine but can not switch fog lights at all.

Do i need do anything in vag?

That switch is for Golf MkV and MkVI - the Octavia cousin is the MkVII

Does your switch have the Pull/Push action for operating the fog lights?

 

In some territories I think fog lights are not fitted and the switch does have the option. I once made the mistake of buying a switch on eBay for my Seat Toledo which did not have the Pull out action for operating fog lights. 

Yes, I do have the option pull push but when I put the new switch and pull the switch to turn on for lights nothing happening...

Sorry pal, looks like most people on here just fit the correct switch. Have you tried Google?

 

 

 

Or just refitting the original freakin switch...

You need to compare the two switches and see what difference there is between them.

 

You might be able to switch some of the pins on the connector to use the wrong switch.
