Turned on my car this morning to a beap telling me my car needs servicing, despite the fact that last night I looked at the computer and it said I had 2000 miles left...

I can't afford to get it serviced at the minute due to paying out for 4 new tyres, and probably won't be able to afford for at least 6 weeks because of living expenses!!

 

Why has it done this early??

And will it be ok to run for 6 weeks without servicing it??

1 year reached?  If it is on fixed schedule service.  I think you'll be able to wait a month or so especially if you are within mileage! That is assuming you don't have some warranty with lots of fine print or any manufacturer warranty left for them to honour as that would change my answer.
