Ok, the only thing Benfield Skoda (Newcastle) Have managed to get right so far is that they had a nice 53 plate VRS to sell me. At 9,500 with only 15k on the clock it didn't take much selling. Incase anyone askes, yes it was the old guy:)

The problems started when I took the car back to have the leaks in the rear doors repaired, stereo changed due to the volume adjustment fault (I have seen a number of other people mention this on here) and the rear wiper repaired as it kept on stopping after a couple of hours use.

I was told they couldn't find any fault with the wiper (fair enough, intermittent fault), never heard of any problems with stereo head units :confused: but they repaired the rear doors

Of course, more fool me, I didn't expect they would have broken the door clips on the door cards and the door **** surrounds when making these repairs. Only spotted this a couple of weeks after the event, about the same time I noticed one of the doors was still leaking.

When I rang them up about this and that the problem with the wiper was still there (this happened several times since), they said no problem just come on in. I asked whether I needed to book it in as it was obvious it couldn't be dealt with straight away.... "no, not at all just come on in to see us and we will sort it out!"

This I did & after traveling through the rush hour traffic and arriving at the garage just after 5pm. I was told everyone had gone, "Don't you now, they all finish at 4.30! they are swift to get out of the door here"

Might be a bit far, but Star Performance in Dysart in Fife will charge a lot less than a dealer. You could always get them to do a remap at the same time :D

I always take my Octy to them now.

Seconded on that, my mate has his serviced there and really rates their work and their prices.

Looking good I guess I am ok taking the car there instead of the dealer.... I mean, will it void the warranty or are they an approved skoda/vw garage for servicing etc :confused:

They lost there sales franchise due to not been able to upgrade showroom but they are still fully authorised service and repair agents for Skoda UK
