Protection between boot and backseat

Featured Replies

Bought my first Skoda Octavia a couple of weeks ago, needed the space for the dog and the kid.

The car came with a pull-up protection fastened on the backseat. This is not the full width of the car, and it builds out around 7 cm from the backseat, 4 cm more then I have after installiong the dogcage.

Does anyone have a idea of other types of protection between the boot and the backseat? The other original from Skoda is hardmountet to the roof(told my dealer), and is therefor not easy to remove if i need the full boot.

Skoda now do another one, made by these guys:

I actually got my dealer to supply it at the same price as online.

No fittings to the roof required, it goes over the rear seat mounting points and has a couple of legs.

It's also very good and doesn't rattle around to my ears.

Oh and easy to remove, you just drop the rear seat and undo two thumb turn screws and then you can remove it. I think it might even fit under the false floor at a push, but you'd have to try that.

I don't think the Skoda Dealers here in Norway have does, but they look nice. Guess I'll buy them directly from travall and get it sent over. Is afraid the customes and shippingcost will be somewhat expensive.

I went for a slightly different Travall model which doesn't have the feet on it.  Mountings are rock solid.  Whole structure is sufficient to keep to boisterous Dalmatians in the boot (or is that the kids in the back seat?) and not a single rattle or creak from it, even 6+ months since first fitting.  Definite recommendation from me.

That's the same one.

Notice the two feet either side that sit on the ledges at the side.
