window closing kits

Featured Replies

If it works, it looks like a bargain at that price! I don't think anyone's fitted one and I believe someone was pursuing the Alientech (sp?) controller which is available for the Octavia, but I suspect it will be a lot more expensive that that one!

IIRC the Fabia and Octavia are totally different, or at least different enough for the AlienTech one not to work.

If you do decide to go for it, please can you take some pics etc, it sounds interesting, esp. at that price

Wasnt it just the mounting of the alientech that was the issue, too big for the door card?

Just picked mine up today, so ill reply back when and if i get my head round the wires, seems simple enough but simple jobs always take the longest with me.

Anyone know how the drivers switch box/control panel comes apart??

good piece of kit, fitted as standard to the mondeo (00> onwards) .

You can however just put the key in the drivers door and hold it to the right/left (unsure which way) and it will close the front windows (electric), unsure if this is just specific to the vRS.

that trick works on my cofort so no its not just the vRS

That clears that up then :)

pleased i never bought it now!

I knew that the fabia vrs has the closer kit on the key, but it would be nice to use the lock button instead of messing about. Just need some good weather and then i can fit the kit.
