MFSW FITTED

Featured Replies

Can I just interject here, at no point was Rustynuts mentioned until Gizmo said he wanted new, there was no slur just Gizmo wants new, it's his money and can do as he wishes, why point to a 2nd hand albeit well known seller and trusted seller if he wants something different.

Rusty was giving a price and fair play, I have said to Gizmo that Android is the way to go but he wants what he wants  and that is fair enough by me, reminds me of the Horse and leading to water, some people want  untouched equipment and that is fine by me.

I would love my LE to be showroom but it aint never gonna be.

As said that's the SSD version and won't be 40gb

Seller claims the ver. 686N has updated Toshiba edition ssd and which is divided 20/10/10 for navi data, music etc.

The 32gb is the SDHC cards maximum can read.

Ok, I'll give it a search in device if having time as wife's running all day long this week having the car (working in hospitals) and i have been left over with the Atos to do the rest in town..

Thanks.

Your seller is telling pork pies. The 686N unit has the drive details as shown in the following screen grab. Note the actual drive size, the partition size, and also the part number.

Unless of course he's disassembling the unit, fitting a 40gb ssd drive, reassembling it, repartitioning it to 20/10/10, reloading the software, reloading the maps, reattaching factory warranty stickers. All 6*** software revisions have 30gb (nominal) ssd drives fitted.

More likely he's just using the hardware data from the previous 5*** software versions which did indeed have a 40gb hdd drive, but even so his partition sizes are incorrect.

I installed MFSW in my mk2. The volume buttons coupled smoothly with the radio, but the other buttons to the right didn't work. So I wonder how did you get the MF buttons to connect with the radio.

Thanks

Exactly which buttons? A picture would help.

Can you post a VCDS autoscan to see how everything is configured?

I bought myself a Skoda Fabia VRS steering wheel and got the buttons from a Superb steering wheel. Plus I designed a set of covers to replace the DSG shifters, these are being printed as we speak. Now waiting for a VCDS cable to find out which parts I'll be needing next.

If someone needs the VRS buttons and shifter paddles, they are for sale.
