anyone managed to to find some led replacement number plate bulbs that don't cause errors? Or need coding etc...

 

Fitted a full conversion kit on the new Sportage which looks great! Would love to make a start on the Fabia with the number plate :-)

Doesn't the later models come with them as std 

 

I spent ages researching some before the car arrived only to find it came with them not uber bright but still STD 

Yes, my Fabia has the LED Bulbs as standard

 

Not sure from what date they came in.

Ummm mine is a 16-plate but alas it has normal bulbs, had a look last night before posting! I would guess the new standard LED version would also need coding?!

Not sure on that I'll have a look on the parts slides tonight and see if they list a different bulb 

 

Not sure if carista or obdeleven can code bulbs but vcds can 

 

Out of he other 2 obdeleven might be the better.choice asking as you use long coding as click mods seem to cost credits 

 

 

In case you manage to get the LED bulbs here's the guide to make the tweak error-free.

P.S. mine was built on 18/04/2016 and has got halogen bulbs (yellow).

Thats great thnaks, should have added....I have x2 bulbs left over from the Sportage that fit and light up (decent Samsung Cree LED) actually fitted them last night and hooked up Carista which unfortunately has no option to activate LED licence plate adaptations! I will email the guide to Carista and see if they would be willing to add it into the app (I'm on their beta program!) 

 

All else failing has anyone else had any luck with some so called Canbus compatible bulbs?

Problem with a lot of listings for canbus bulbs on eBay etc is they usually aren't

Can you not wire some resistors inline to the led bulbs 

 

I had to make one for a corsa a few years back cost me about £3 from maplins 

 

 

I have the original 2016 F3 LED license plate light, and even though I had to change the encoding of faulty bulb. but it glows beautifully

Perharps this one directly from Skoda will work, even if the Fabia is not listed.

I'd be interested in hearing from someone who bought this.

i think it may only be Monte Carlos that come with them. My MC is a 16 plate

Use the original instead. should be cheaper too.

After install that is P&P, you need to code it with vcds/vcp

Yeah - I bought a pair of LED replacement bulbs for the incandescent DRL's at the front of the car (W21W's). They worked great for about a week, then suddenly canbus told me they were blown.
