Columbus RNS510 poor reception

Featured Replies

Hi,

The other day my Columbus RNS510 started to have poor radio reception. I've looked in the forums for help and found that there could be an antenna issue but when I go into the FM diagnostics it shows that both antennas are connected.

Will it still show that if the antennas aren't functioning correctly?

It seemed to happen around the time I drove over a small tree branch/twigs (soft) that caught under the car. Stopped fairly soon after to remove. Just wondering if static build up could have caused this?

Any ideas what to test and how? I've borrowed a VCDS which I'll put on tonight and see if that shows anything.

Cheers
