The spanner icon has appeared and has a count down of 800 miles to service. Am I right in thinking that this happens every 10000 miles? I had my car service about 8000 miles since the last one and I now have the icon a few months later- very annoying ! 

 

Does anyone know how to reset/ clear without the need for an auto engineer?? 

IIRC you can choose the mileage when you reset it.

 

To reset IIRC you open drivers door so the display on dash comes on,press in and hold the trip mileage reset button,then turn on the ignition keeping the reset button pressed in

Switch ignition off

Press and hold the odometer trip reset button (next to the speedometer)

With the button still pressed, turn ignition on (do not start engine)

You will see "SERVICE" appear on the display.

Turn the button to the right (clockwise) for about 5 seconds
