Black Alloys

Featured Replies

I remember seeing Black Alloys in this Forum unless I am mistaken, does anyone know where I could source maybe a set of 16's or 17's.

Also do I need to roll the arches on my Fabia standard 1.2 to put 17's on, I am going to lower it 30 to 35mm all around any ideas Dudes.:bttt: :drive1:

The arches are the same on all fabias..

Jason (devonutopia) has a TDI thats been lowered with 17"s he should be around any minute...

 here I am! :D

Check this out - lowered by 30mm, with 17s on - But you must NOT put any bigger profile tyres on them than 40... For 16s, I believe you put on 50 profile tyres, but IIRC, 45s are better...? Matt? The fact it's a 1.2 means nothing BTW, as it has the same shell.

Looking good, So no arches will have to be rolled etc. I went to an Alloy shop and a little cheeky prat said I could put them on and then sneered the skoda. So to him "Up yer Swiss Pal"

When I was looking for alloys, I got some quite good comments, TBH. Ended up getting the ones above from ebay - one hell of a good purchase, and easily the best mod I've done so far. (although will be the 2nd best from the afternoon of Dec 12th :D)

i got told by autosport that i had to have some arch mod to fit 17" too must be some dodgy info going around but i bought some anyway and they look awesome even the guy at my local skoda dealer said it looked cool which i like

the 17's on jasons furbie just look amazing really suits the car and with the lowering kit it looks like it is going round corners on rails!

Just so Jason doesn't feel too left out. Here is a piccie of my old 16v with 17's and dropped 30mm.

Ive got 17's to go on my Fabia vRS. They are 7.5 x 17 SEAT Sport alloys with 205/40 17 Toyo tyres. Should be just fine. Also lowering it on Eibach springs and Koni adj dampers.

mmmmmm, Audi S3!!!!

Nice piccie, Graeme.

I can still hear you blipping the throttle and making that "exhaust" sing at the Midlands Meet in May. vrUUUUMMMMMmmmm! :D:thumbup:

PS: where was that?

edited to say "where was that piccie shot?" - not where the Midlands meet was... My memory isn't quite that bad yet! :D

That was at GTi International this year just after I spent a couple of hours polishing her up! Was looking very good at the time! I just so wish that Skoda brought the vRS out in Cayenne! I loved that colour, and the exhaust note! :fingers in ear smilie: :D
