Front & rear sensor sensitivity? Adjustable?

Featured Replies

Having studied my manual, I know how to adjust the tone level of the sensor warnings. But, when I get a solid tone from the rear I am less than 30 cm's away from the obstacle behind; when I hear a solid tone from the front, I am over 40 cm's away from the obstacle. Is there a way to adjust this distance? Thanks.

I get very annoyed at the sensors because they always overreact. When I reverse into my garage they often are constantly  sounding.  The problem is they are given a false positive which often leads me to ignore them (once at my peril when I hit an object out of view). I would be grateful if someone knows of a way to adjust their sensitivity.

This is a bugbear of mine too. You end up ignoring the sensor because you know it's saying you are going to hit something but you are actually 1 foot away. I'd expect at least half that if not even a bit closer.

When I get the solid beep, either front or back, I look at the screen and then keep moving until the next bar on the distance gauge shows. Can park 1 inch away from my house using that method. Not touched the wall yet.

Seems to me to be more sensitive than MK II version. I live in narrow street an everyone parks on kerb, MKIII now alarms when I'm on the kerb and tells me road is too narrow to self park !

Would be useful to be able to adjust sensitivity I think - perhaps a VCD tweak ?
