Rear shocker rebound

Featured Replies

Good Evening all,

I bought myself a nice Fab/bohemia 1.9 pd 61k miles last week from BCA/Preston, and I am quite pleased with it.

I have cleaned the EGR valve, oil and filter changed, and I am giving it a good checking over.

One job that definately needs doing, are the rear shocker rebound rubber's, it looks a easy job thanks to the info on here, but where do I get these rebound stops from ? can I get them from somewhere like Europarts, or is it a skoda main dealer only?

Thanks.

You can simply remove the smaller torn piece and wind the shock boot back onto the larger bit, they're called bump stops and you can buy them on the bay if you're determined.

That'll be them.

Thanks, I'll give that a go sepulchrave.

Had bad experience with OEM rear bump stops: were replaced 2 times, under warranty (material simply dissolve after 2 years and protection tube fells-off) = total crap.

Installed Sachs/Boge ones- no problems last 6 years...and yes, they're not harder than OEM.
