Yeti headlights. System fault?

Featured Replies

I have a 61 reg 140bhp 2.0 litre, DSG FWD model. Recently I've had a couple of dashboard warnings about headlight failure. The first time, I simply replaced the bulb. The second time I didn't have time to do so, though I confirmed that dipped beam wasn't working; however, when I next drove the car the following day, the warning light had gone and the dipped beam was fine. The two headlights were on different sides.

Anyone else had this and does anyone know what the cause might be?

Thanks

Probably just a loose connection, I can't imagine it would be anything else.

I've had that happen when a bulb is going. When it is hot the element moves away from a break, and then when it is cold it makes the connection again.

Can also be the dashboard assembly which has been known to have intermittent dry joints on the panel.

Probably a dying bulb, they do tend to fail fairly close together in my experience.
