Does the MK3 have the net on the inside of the passenger footwell like my MK2 does?

No. It was the first thing one of my regular passengers noticed when I went from a Mk.II to the Mk.III

Just told the wife..... not chuffed, apparently it's the "best thing about our superb" - so easily pleased..... not sure what that says about me!

I guess the provision of a kind of bottle holder in the front doors killed off the need.....or VAG penny pinching?

Hmmm, comes down to personal taste, but I'd say its' removal is a step forward.... 

Never really used mine either, so I don’t miss it.

 

If it really bothers you then you can add one yourself, loads of universal ones about.
