Oh NO, Rust!

Featured Replies

Doing a general service/clean around my Fabia today 03 (three yr in April)

Put the bonnet support into the bracket and found the bracket although shiney and red was full of water and rusted through underneath the weld

I do not have the time to visit the dealer (too far and loss of earnings) so it is a case of drying it out then liberal soaking with cure-rust followed by a dash of paint

I suppose Skoda would just do the same and the warranty is up in April

I am just terrified my Furby is going the same way as the Skoda I bought in 1974

just what I do not need

I know I SHOULD go to the dealer but I seriously can not afford the loss of earnings (true it maybe cheaper in the long run of things, but I just do not have it available this year) sob

They are supposed to be galvanised and there is a 10 year anti perf warranty on the Furby. I would let Skoda know.

My mate has a 5 year old Vectra and it developed a rust bubble in the tailgate. They gave him a new one, fitted/sprayed etc in days.

It came from Fairweather in DUNDEE so I suppose I should contact them and see if they can do a Saturday look see, I feel a bit reluctant to take it to Chatam Dunfermline, it would be better for myself but not right as They did not get the money for the purchase of the car, Mind I expect it could be a good introduction to get all my servicing done there! as it would be more convenient for myself
