1.9 PD130 mpg?

Featured Replies

what sort of MPG do you guys get out of your 1.9PD 130's?

in my superb i'm getting about 49 tops (recent trip to edinburgh) and about 39 general driving. is this a bit low or am i just expecting too much from a v large car?

I know a Taxi driver who has a Superb Tdi130 and he gets about those figures. As you say, we're talking about a very big car so it takes a lot of fuel and work from the engine to accelerate it.

I get around 39-44 around town. On a decent run up to 60.

I'm pretty much the same as Kentish with my mpg.

right you are then, sounds on the low side of normal.

going for a jabba remap on friday, which i'm sure will help the mpg enormously!

I average about 39, but have got about 55 on long journeys. I do usually carry a boot full of gear.

30 mpg around town/short trips and 52mpg on a long run with 3 adults and a boot full of junk thats with an AMD one click and a K&N filter.....the car has only just covered 11,000 miles so I would think the engine is still a bit tight

owner /operator taxi driver here....

around town....approx 40-45

long journeys..... 49-56 :thumbup::D

I'm with bigj2552. Very similar figures. Hardly ever see it in the 30s unless it's a very short journey. It has 7500 miles on it.

It is the manual though which is a bit more economical. It would probably be even more economical if I could bring myself to turn the heated seats off, mmmmm lovely.

Well mine had 93k on the clock and I am averaging around 45-50mpg on long runs, I don't tend to do any around town driving.

It all depends how you drive it IMO, sometimes it can be low if I am having some fun on the motorway and down those country lanes.

Either way it's a vast improvement over my 32mpg with the petrol Bora!!

Motorway cruises between 49-52. Incidently I notice that if I fill up at somewhere like Shell as opposed to a supermarket my mpg goes up by about 2-3!

My wagon currently has 35k on the clock and should be due for it's second service soon.

62K on my PD130 Elegance, tweaked by OBD but still getting 53 motorway, and late 30's round town, much the same as everyone else, I guess.

-Do tyres make a difference?
