Shifty.First photo other thread.Lucky git.Must go to cruises myself from this day on.Phwoar (think your car is on fire in the others though).

Been to the One at Mujuba Road in Redcar a few times....Some cracking motors and some very 5hit ones too:rofl: !!!!

Last time I was there some Bellend in a Ford Sierra did a burnout till both his rear tyres exploded:eek: He popped the hood and there was steam coming from the welds on the intake:thumbup: He then opened the boot, got out to new tires, fitted 'em and drove off!!!!:P

used to have an old mini cooper and went to a meet every month/ civilised pub type meet, with an organised cruise/ weekend away three or four times a year. Not really interested in the max power type of thing, well not the cars/burnouts, maybe the nubile topless girls  Have yet to go to a briskoda do yet, but vRS arrives in 10/11 weeks......................

Well, Briskoda has surprised me with the current poll standings. :)

never been to one...but I wouldnt mind seeing what theyre like

If you were a freedom member you could see a video I've put in there. ;) Something from a cruise/meet at the weekend

Im not a freedom member unfortunately.

I have a feeling its some bloody hooligan demonstrating some anti social behaviour in a fabia lol.

Never been to one and probably never will. However I watched the 'Cruise' thread with fasination the other day. I can see your point about the social side and wanting to show off your pride n joy but unfortunately these type of events attract a minority of idiots and low lifes. If they were organised during the day at an airfield somehere where there was other attractions like bouncy castles for the kids and food etc then I would go. BUT and to me its a big BUT, they are arranged at night in urban supermarket carparks where a lot of noise and smoke is generated and the general public get the wrong idea.

I know of one near me in Bradford where drugs were seized and several youths detained for breaking various traffic laws. It was not the sort of event that I would EVER attend.

Everyone has their opinion on them. They are not for me. Perhaps you could set up a mobile Fish n Chip van at the next Shifty. However, I wont be there to buy any.

Been to a couple. Merseycruise and warrington cruise.

somtimes entertaining. sometimes poo. Nothing against them but some people at these cruises are just plain stupid and give cruisers a bad name.

:iagree:

This happens down our way - one muppet drives badly/recklessly, crashes, causes disruption.... Then next day the local rag has come article in it about "boy-racers" and the whole image that we, as a club down here, are trying our damned hardest to promote, is tarnished.... by one pr1ck. :grumpy:

We just like to meet up, park up, stand around and chatter about the cars and life, etc. The occasional test drive, but more often than not at these "cruises" my car is just parked up, locked up and I'm having a chinwag with the gang.

Its the muppets that spoil it... Remember my "near miss" thread as one such muppet came in the carpark and skidded toward my car?
