Messing around with the configurator and am curious about the roof rack and boxes. 

 

We do long car trips with some activities, e.g. skiing, so thinking a roof rack and box may be nice. Already have a bike holder for the tow hitch.

 

Are roof racks/railings universal? Meaning, can I go with a Thule product later on using the factory installed railings? I couldn't find any information about that. I am concerned that if one day we get into water sports we cannot use the roof rack options from Thule. 

Yes.. you can use Thule products... or any other products if you purchase the relevant foot packs
