Hi thought I'd take the glovebox out and investigate the SD2 slot. I've got the Amusden navigation system so there is another SD2 slot below the navigation SD1 slot. It's possible to buy an SD card ribbon extension cable that I planned to route to a more convenient access point. However after inserting media card it didn't show up on the system.

Does anybody know if the SD2 slot is deactivated on the Fabia or indeed if it can be activated.

 

 

 

 

 

It can be. I can see in adaptations channel ENG109862-ENG11009-Vehicle_configuration-sd_slot_deactivation. In my unit this channel has value no restriction but my unit is from Octavia, not from Fabia. I will check possible values and check the impact.

BTW: go to MEDIA, choose SOURCE and check how many SD cards you can choose - if both are enabled then you will see SD1 and SD2 (even if both are greyed out)

Thanks for interest - MEDIA SOURCE only shows greyed out "navigation card". Sounds like it may be possible to activate SD2 will wait to hear.

Sorry for very late reply... I've checked and indeed in the channel I mentioned you can choose between No restrictions, Card 1 disabled, Card 2 disabled. Check and change as required

i have the new Fabia with Amundsen and can only see 1 SD slot and only 1 displayed on screen. Where is SD2? and has anyone enabled it?
