New here and I have recently bought a skoda octavia mk3 greenline and want to install MIB Toolbox for carplay.

I have activated the GEM using OBDEleven, formatted several SD cards to FAT32 and downloaded the files onto each one so have tested multiple different cards that I know are not faulty. Every time I insert the SD card into slot 1 (my units has two sd card slots) and try to do the software update step it pops up with this message:

"Unable to read the Release Information file.

Source not available

unsupported media"

Trying to read the original navigation skoda card this message also happens. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if my units is not capable of running SD cards.

Some information about my infotainment unit:

System Information

Device Part Number: 5Q0035874B

Software update

Installed SW train version: MST2_XX_XX_XX_X0359T

It does have navigation in the software version.

If someone could help me that would be great, any extra information you need let me know.

Hi, I just figured this issue out.

I unzipped the file onto SD card but left all the files embedded under a sub folder in the SD card. Once i cut them from the sub folder and put them all in the 1st layer of SD card it then worked.

Iam having a similar issue, I downloaded latest maps on a zip file from skoda website and put them on a new SD card to keep the original. But that did not work as read on here that need to use the original skoda sd card.

So i deleted and then replaced the maps folder on the skoda sd card with the downloaded one leaving the other file in place. See first pic but still does not work as unit does not recognise SD card 1.

Any ideas

Start mib in Green Mode, then ToolBox, then Navigation, then Patch SD config

Not a clue what green mode is so had to google it. Held menu button for 10 secs and got this menu but no toolbox option.

You have Tool Box installed? Engineer Mode Activ?

Is that a question or a statement?

If a question, I have not installed anything on system, not sure about previous owners.

Just want to update to latest map.
