Alarm/insurance Question?

Featured Replies

Hey guys getitng my Spanking New vRS on 1st of march so getting ready to sort out the insurance, just wanna know what cat the standard alarm is on the fabia? cos i thought i saw somone saying before that it was a cat 1 alarm, if so do i tell them its got a cat 1 alarm or do i still have to say factory fitted?

thinking of getting the good steering wheel lock that is cat 3 approved will that make much difference?

Bear in Mind that im 20 and insurance is expensive!

It'll still be classed as factory fitted. Any safety device is good!

It's a factory fitted Thatcham-approved cat 1 alarm. TBH, most insurance companies will know this as it's in the spec of the car so don't expect any big discounts. I'd also not expect using a DiskLok will lower your premium either (sadly!) :)

Do an PAss Plus of Adv Driving course, this WILL save you money on your premium!!
