Negative!Everything fits perfect to the existing hole and bolts!It's a "plug&play"stuff :)

Cool but you're driving a Scout. Any clue if the boot release switch is the same size on the hatch as it is on the estate?

How does it handle in the dark?

...Also, does it engage together with the parking sensors or with the reverse lights? How did you have yours installed?

I Have no clue if the tailgate lock is the same as yours. But in case that it is writen that camera fits to the O2 Fl,I guess they are the same size(Not quite sure about it).I've connected main to the reverse lights cables to the rear compartment. It works along with parking sensors as well (once you shift to reverse gear a camera and park sensors activates).During the dark is satisfactory, because the reverse lights and nameplate illumination (aftermarket led')illuminates very well.

Have you got this connected to a Columbus? If so what interface are you using?

@Inex - you've not mentioned what headunit you have. Just a warning, that camera will need a convertor if you intend to use it with an RNS510/Columbus.

It should fit the hole in all Octavia boot lids though as I'm 99% sure they are all the same size.

Yes, I have a RNS510 and I have read about this. Thanks for the headsup!

Just playing with the idea of fitting a camera some time in the future.
