Amundsen DAB upgrade with sound problems

Hi,

i recently upgraded my Octavia 3 with an Amundsen MIB2 DAB headunit (5Q0035874A). It's an austrian model so unfortunately DAB was missing. The skoda service partner removed the component protection an i coded it with vcds. Everything worked fine so far.

But the sound is horrible! Bass and treble is ok but midrange is totally missing. Sounds like a 3-way system without midrange speaker. Moreover the region at about 4000 hz is far too loud. Then i was again at the Skoda service partner. They tried to solve the problem with the function 'control unit replacement' but this stopped after some minutes with error code ERP0617E. I think the headunit comes from a Fabia. Are there any incompatibilities with Octavia? The part number should be suitable for Octavia.

I'm very thankful for any ideas!
