Silver vRS anyone?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Im, looking to order a vRS soon for delivery in May, after a great test drive the other day.

The problem is I only 'really' like is the blue but I think it will stand out to much. Currently my car is on street parking, so basically i dont want it to stick out and say 'steal me' or 'vandalise me'.

So basically im thinking to go for the Silver colour is it seems more understated, as basically I dont want to lose any no claims bonuses, from theft or damage, especially at my age.

Does anyone know where I can see a silver one in the flesh, any showrooms, or actually people who have, or are getting them?

I had a silver Mk 1 vRS and it got keyed twice in our nice residential area! I don't think the colour will save it if there is a braindead around. They need a quick squirt of RAID like all other insects.

I completely agree...in the past 2years i've owned 6 different cars 5 of which happened to be silver and the other being bright yellow...2 of the silver cars got vandalised. I dont think it matters what colour your car is as I think alot of it is either opportunistic idiots or mindless to$$ers who should be rounded up and shot:thumbup:

...ooo for what its worth I think the blue looks awesome!:D

Part of my thinking is like if i left it in a town car park when im out in the evening for example, it wont stand out, i't'll just look like a plain old family saloon rather than a flash sports car??

Is metallic blue a specially flash sports car colour? There's loads around here, Peugots, Mercs, Vauxhalls. It's just a nice colour - like many others.

Well when I see that colour I think of subaru impreza

The silver looks fantastic. Went to look at one today in a showroom in Ireland.

What dealer had one spartacus93?

What dealer had one spartacus93?

Barrett in Waterford has one next to the door, €32,390 or something on the window, but he's a reasonable man....

ordered a silver II vRS, got a fabia vRS in silver at the mo,and i had a I octy vRS before this, always find its a better colour for Stone chips!!!

Wings of Peterborough have a silver vRS Octy 2 in their showroom.

I think it looks too understated, the worst colour imho.

Perhaps black would be better?

The blue looks AWESOME in the flesh.
