'Mooing' brakes- official fix!

Featured Replies

Just spoke to Skoda UK customer services, and the fix for the Octy brakes is being shipped now, and will be ready for fitting by your local Stealer in March. She thought it was new pads, but wasn't totally sure. She said that they were shipping in 'loads' because it's an extensive problem.

Yay! Hopefully the end of embarassing reversing!

Will this be done free of charge then ??

Not sure. Obviously all cars still under warranty will be fixed free. I think anyone with an older car that does this would also have a good case, as Skoda have known about the prob, but taken ages to sort out a fix.

Right, just to update y'all, had a call from Skoda UK today. The parts for the 'brake fix' are all ready and with the dealers. I was told I could book the car in straight away to get it sorted.

Thats strange as I spoke to Skoda yesterday and they said no fix yet and no timescale for the fix, offered to call me once a week to keep me in the picture. I must have a different problem from you.
