Mud Flap Fitting Guide

Featured Replies

I don't think it's the mounting points, the dealer suggested it was an interference issue?

However, I've just seen this Kodiaq on Autotrader...

I wonder if one of the trade-offs on the new mudflap design is that they won't fit if the car has sidesteps fitted?

Thoroughly confused now...

  • Didn't say you had to take the wheels off!!  Just implied that it was easier if you did!   Why are people so hasty to criticise?  Don't often visit the site and remember why now.

  • I didn't mean it to come across as a critism, just thought you gave the impression the wheels needed removal and was pointing out they don't

  • @silver1011 hi ...got it...new part number for front mudflaps is 565075111A , old one was without "A" . Rembered I know a guy from Skoda who is spare parts manager. So this is the right partnumber !

@TumnusCat, any chance you could take a picture of your car, from behind the front mudflaps, to see how far they extend along the sill?

This is my car, the side steps pretty much sit flush with the wheel arch, if the mudflaps extend any distance along the sill then I can side with the dealer.

If they don't then they should fit...

It doesn't look as though they will though. I wonder if the dealer had to modify them to fit the white Kodiaq pictured above?

Either that or it has the earlier version of the flaps fitted, which do fit?

Skoda UK have confirmed that the front flaps cannot be fitted in conjunction with the running boards.

I rang the dealer (Simpsons Preston) who has the Kodiaq pictured above and asked what they did to get them to fit. They seem to think with some 'gentle persuasion' they'll fit around the running boards.

So, I'll order a set up from Superskoda, £26 delivered, cheaper than any UK dealers.

Well, I can confirm Skoda UK are correct, the front mudflaps won't fit if you have the side steps / running boards fitted.

However, I wasn't going to let that stop me :D

I bit of botching, cutting and chopping and they're on!
