John McGuinness is in a stable condition in hospital after suffering a suspected broken leg in a crash at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland.

A tweet from McGuinness' Honda Racing team said the Morecambe rider, 45, was "conscious and is going to hospital with a suspected broken leg".

McGuinness was taken to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital and his condition was later described as "stable".   The rider now looks to be a major doubt for this year's Isle of Man TT.

gutted the TT is looking unlikely.. but its best his health is top notch.

Hope he gets a mend on quick time.

Sad to see him out of the northwest

Good racing so far, bring on tomorrow's

Was really looking forward to seeing him and Guy come together at the TT aswel.

I guess we could look on the bright side... Guy might be slightly more likely to get a win now?
