Ever since buying my Octavia I've had a issue with the rear numberplate lights constantly coming loose and falling out while driving. Are these meant to clip in securely as I do not see any way for them to stay in position? I've pushed them back in and then slide them over as described in the manual but they continue to fall out.

Turn them 180 degrees and clip them in that way

Mine often do that but only since i changed to leds. Will try the advice above .

 

Just tried it and couldn't get them to fit in at all.

There's usually a metal 'springy' clip at one end that can get bent when renoving them. Try bending that out to increase the tension. Happened to me and that worked.

I put a couple of rounds of electrical tape around mine where it pushes against the metal. This has helped for me. I've had bot the stock ones and aftermarket LED's fall out.
