Fabia VRS interior

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Do all Fabia VRS models come with the off white two tone seats?

Is this leather or fabric and how easy it is to keep clean?

Cheers.

The fabric is grey edges with black inserts.

I am thinking of buying a vRS but this is one of the things that worries me. If you search on this forum you will find there are a considerable number of owners who are having problems with the fabric. Apparently they are very difficult to keep clean and the fabric can 'bobble' and wear out very very quickly. :(

I have had a good look at the fabric on one at the dealers. IMHO it is crap, they kept costs down by doing it on the cheap. My Octavia elegance has much better fabric as does my dad's Fabia ambiente.

Skoda have just introduced a full leather seat option but at £1300 it is far too much - especially when you consider that it is fitted at the dealers not the factory.

The other option is seatsurgeons who I believe do a complete leather retrim (including doors!) for about £800 for forum members. If I get a vRS I'll probably go down this route. Search for them on this site for more info.

Regards:)

Steve

The seats aren't too bad if you scotchguard them from the beginning and treat them carefully.

The leather trim is £780 if you quote me or Briskoda. Some pictures are available in the Gallery on my website.

As Stu says. Scotchgard them and there is no problem. Any dirty marks just wipe straight off

I've scotchguarded mine a few times now & tried to keep them clean, but they seem to look a bit grubby after 15 months of ownership.

Might be due to the dye in jeans, etc.

I'm currently looking into alternatives..................................TT leather maybe! ;)

I've found giving them a hoover once a week has kept them looking as good as new - had mine for 10 months now

What type of scotch guard do you use? Is it just the spray on stuff in a can?

Cheers

Steve.

Check out the attached file, Skoda Leather kit for vRS £1300.00.

ignore me, it won't upload

Mine are fine after 20k, I'm not anal about car cleanliness but I am careful - I don't have kids either which probably helps.

If you've got kids I'd imagine it's not a question of if they'll get marked but when.

I would have thought that the seats are very similar quality to any other car.

My clio seats have wear on them but no reason to nit pick...just depends on how bothered you are if the seats wear.

if you don't want to wear the seats try hovering your **** above the seat = no wear.

I would have thought that the seats are very similar quality to any other car.

I found the Skoda seat covers a lot less hard wearing than other cars I've owned :(
