Gearbox ID

Featured Replies

Guys I have a 2011 1.2 Tsi DSG Fabia estate in that the DMF exploded wrecking the gearbox so I need to locate a box. Could anyone decipher the codes from the sticker/handbook or point me to a gearbox ID as i am struggling to work out gearbox types.

Why they put a DMF on a 1.2 petrol is beyond me.

I presume it is a 5 speed with the semi auto set up,cheers. I presume it is the NBD but is that all I need cheers.

NBD  from that VIN Sticker.

If it is a DSG it is a DQ200 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG.

Why do you think it is a 5 speed semi automatic,

have you not driven it and seen when you put it in 'D' that it has, 1,2,3,4.5,6,7 show as it goes up the gears.

Oh right I have had nothing to do with these I priced a clutch and flywheel up from our local factors as it looks like the dmf has dropped to bits and cracked the box! I presume it is not what i would class as a "conventional" clutch? Sorry for my ignorance just never played with these before. It looked from the outside like the Vauxhall "semi auto" set up but i must be wrong.

No clutch packs and very specialist repair job,

or finding a used DSG that is fault free.

Just an idea of a similar box and changing clutch packs.
