Park assist modes

Featured Replies

Hi, every time I activate park assist the car seems to decide which mode to use and there doesn't appear to be an option to cycle though the parking modes, is this by design or is there an option to enable manual selection?

Each subsequent press of the park assist button should cycle through the available options determined as being available by the external sensors. It's influenced by the position of your car in respect to the parking space you want to use and your proximity to other vehicles/obstructions.

As the parking space needs to have been located by the sensors a certain amount of logic needs to be applied. For example, if intending to drive nose-in (forwards) into a 90º bay you will need have to have passed the bay for the sensors to be aware of the free bay, then reverse back, passing the bay, to enable the car to drive forwards into the bay. (Though, TBH, this is the least likely scenario when you'd need park assist.)
