Only takes a day to get across from Emden to Grimsby.  But can then sat on the ship for a week, then the dockside for a few days before being loaded to transport - then a day to be delivered to dealer who turned it around in 2 days.  Fingers crossed for all you guys still waiting.  Is defo worth it

I'm leasing, just under £240 month over two years at 10k a year.

Hand back in time to lease a Mk4 VRS

Errr, I guess maybe some of them features are standard then, but not all.

I wonder how many people have actually paid cash or are on a HP for a 245?

Forget RRP, these days it's all about the monthly figure for PCPs and PCH's. It's why there are so many too young looking lads driving around in BMW M2s! Decent wage, no kids, normal mortgage and its easily affordable for the two or three years of the contract.

Noone pays list, most people getting one are buying.

Im paying £220 a month for mine when it arrives.

A majority of those extra's you list on the car will be worth nothing when trade in time comes.

Well its a well worn discussion and I'm sure one side will never convince the other....but just been on CarWow and you can get £6000+ off a £21K 1.5SE Estate on a PCP (that you can settle immediately), so if you could order a new 245 currently I'm sure you could get £8K or near to it off the list price .  However as you can't order one at the moment its all a bit academic.

I guess the more general point is that most people buying new don't pay the list price, so really judging by the discounts available last year you probably should be saying a "29K car for 26K"....which doesn't sound quite so clever perhaps?

Except this isn’t a £29k car is it ?

How not? If the new list price was £34K and you discount the price by 15% you get 29K.

Your premise is why would anyone pay 34K for this new when I can buy it for 26K used, but nobody did pay 34K if they bought that spec.

Or have I misunderstood your numbers?

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just think we should compare like with like.  Hope you enjoy your car.

And also, no one will pay £34k for that spec because is too expensive. So most of the 245’s ordered new won’t have that spec as they are too dear.

Surely buying a nearly new with all the gadgets for the same or even slightly less price that a bog standard new one is better value ?

I think if you need to assume you are ****ing on my parade then maybe you misunderstand me.

Maybe it is you who is a little salty ?

Just making a point on a forum, is that not what a forum is for ?

Or do we have to have the usual “cat fight” over nothing. ?

Ridiculous to say the least (rolling my eyes)
